Why WagerVerdict exists
Most casino "top 10" pages are commission tables with adjectives added. We built this one to be checkable: published weights, real deposits, timed withdrawals, and a correction policy we actually use.
The problem we are trying to solve
Search for the best online casino and you will get dozens of pages that look independent and are not. The ordering usually tracks commission rates. The scores rarely have a stated method behind them. The payout times are copied from the operator help pages. And when an operator behaves badly, the review quietly disappears rather than being updated.
None of that is illegal and most of it is not even dishonest by the letter. It is just useless to the person reading it, which is the only test that matters.

Who writes this
WagerVerdict is written and maintained by a small editorial team with a background in affiliate publishing and online gaming. Every review is produced against the published rating methodology rather than to a word count, and no review is published without a completed deposit and withdrawal test.
We are a commercial publisher, not a regulator, a consumer body or a charity. We say so plainly because a site that pretends otherwise while running affiliate links is exactly the problem we are describing.
How we make money
Commission from operators when a reader opens an account through one of our links. That is the entire business model. It funds the deposits we make during testing, the time spent reading terms, and the running of the site. It does not influence scores or ordering - see the affiliate disclosure for the specifics, including what we do when the best operator in a category has no affiliate programme at all.
Our position on responsible gambling
We take this seriously enough to make it 10% of every operator score. A casino that makes it hard to set a deposit limit, or that lets a self-exclusion be reversed with a phone call, loses real points and can be disqualified outright.
